
ÈŞÙ the IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN and the ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA – it’s differences:

Based on the teaching of BABA ODÙDÚWÀ who has given to the members of the Yorùbá Olófin Tradtion of ẸGBẸ́ ÓDÙN ỌLỌ́FIN – The family of the secret of ỌLỌ́FIN.

This is an old writing that Idid and lately I re-edit the information and added and updated certain key things we have received from Baba Odùdúwà and the spirit TATA G: This writing is to clarifying so much CONFUSSIONS on the subject.
ÈŞÙ the IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN and the ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA or ÈŞÙ ELÉGBÁRA:
In africa now a days most practitioners have fuse ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA and the IRÚNMỌ̀LE ÈŞÙ into one and same being, but that is NOT Correct not exactly true, they are conected but they are not the same. The Truh is spread all around. In the Afrocuban Diaspora, the Yoruba Lukumi kept the concept given by some elders about the difference between ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA and the IRÚNMỌ̀LE ÈŞÙ. According to the síritual revelation of Baba Oduduwa and his spiritual emissaries, the general concept that the Yoruba Lukumi have kept is most correct, there certain points to clarify about it, but in general, that teaching is closer to the Truth. Now I will go to explain about them and the difference between them.
ÈŞÙ means sphere. ÈŞÙ is an IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN (an Universal IRÚNMỌ̀LE), and as the spirit Tata G revealed to us recently, ÈŞÙ is the eternal guardian of God, and he is the divine policeman. God does not punish, ÈŞÙ is in charge of applying the punishment or giving the reward. The spirit Tata G revealed that ÈŞÙ is the Consciousness of the Spirit of Nature, so it is manifested everywhere. ÈŞÙ is in all spaces and places, ÈŞÙ has eyes everywhere. ÈŞÙ is not bad, he is Severe, he gives severity to whom severity deserves.
Now this is a recent revelation about ÈŞÙ given the spirit Tata G about the original Cosmogonical action of ÈŞÙ.

Who gave the Energy of movement to Olódùmarè and Ifá?
It was ÈŞÙ...
How did ÈŞÙ give them that Force?
ÈŞÙ Thought about something, and in that moment Time began to run...
At the moment that ÈŞÙ thought something, even for a second, that pushed Time, that made time start running and kept running and running.
What happened with Olódùmarè? Olódùmarè also began to exist, because Olódùmarè began to run together with Time.
Who was the one who pushed everything?
It was ÈŞÙ.
Awo Ifalenu: They say that ÈŞÙ open the roads, but the first road that ÈŞÙ opens is in your Mind through a Thought, and at that moment you got a idea, a concept, a way to do something, a clue, you see in your mind a way to do something that will open the road or path you need to work on… ÈŞÙ Works through you Mind, throigh your Throughts.
ÈŞÙ exist since from before the creation, and it is the Divine Spark, the activator of God, ÈŞÙ is the Thought and works through the Thoughts. ÈŞÙ put the thought that set in motion the Divine processes that began to run the Creation and Time.
ELÉGBÁRA (Elegua or Elegba): ELÉGBÁRA is its correct name or ALÁGBÁRA, it means “The being of Power or ÈŞÙ ELÉGBÁRA. ELÉGBÁRA was a human son of one of the 16 manifestations of Ọbàtálá and queen Òòşà Nlá, and he died before he could be crowned king, so he does not wear a crown, (and he puts another kind of hat. In the Yorùbá Diaspora among the afrocuban Lukumi). ELÉGBÁRA is a ÒRÌŞÀ that passes through the human stage, ÈŞÙ (ÈŞhÙ) is different, ÈŞÙ is a Universal Power, is a IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN, is the divine policeman, is the Consciousness of the Spirit of Nature. In every star of the universe there is a particular manifestation of ÈŞÙ on that star who commands and watches, rewards and punishes. ÈŞÙ has infinite energy paths, and it is not that they are only 21 roads or 121, or 256 roads or maifestations only. Baba Odùdúwà has said that: “For every star (ÌRÀWỌ̀) you see in the Firmament of Heaven, in each one there is a specific path (or particular manifestation for that place) of ÈŞÙ. He's different in each one. ÈŞÙ is the most powerful being. ÈŞÙ and ELÉGBÁRA are of the same Essence, but they are different in manifestation, ELÉGBÁRA jokes (he is somewhat peaceful or merciful in relation to ÈŞÙ), ÈŞÙ kills (ÈŞÙ is divine and very severe guardian)...
ÈŞÙ and ELÉGBÁRA are “born” through the Energy Portal of the ODÙ IFÁ of "ÒŞÉ TURA", this ODÚ IFÁ is invoked before invoking both the IRÚNMỌ̀LE ÈŞÙ and the ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA.

About the ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA. True story of who was Elegua, ELÉGBÁRA. He is the son of of one the 16 manifestation or roads of Ọbàtálá and Queen Òòşà Nlá, he was born, he became heir to the throne, had offspring of children, but died before ascending to the throne, that is why the children of ELÉGBÁRA are not crowned, because he did not get to have it in life. This is why the children of ELÉGBÁRA and the same ELÉGBÁRA are humble, and wear a straw hat. ELÉGBÁRA is the son of the king and the Great Queen. That's why he's the son of Ọbàtálá who died without a crown. ÈŞÙ is the one who decides what to do with those who do harm. ÈŞÙ gives severity to whom deserves Severity.
ÈŞÙ: ÈŞÙ, (Èşhù in Yorùbá) is truly the Consciousness of the Spirit of Nature. This is why it has infinite paths or manifestations. ÈŞÙ is the Severe aspect of ELÉGBÁRA, it is a feared being, that if you make it your friend, no one will be able to defeat you. ÈŞÙ is what makes people attract business and clients. The difference between the two is that ELÉGBÁRA jokes with people, and ÈŞÙ kills (thi was revealed by Baba Oduduwa).
Note: ÈŞÙ is similar as the severe and angry deities of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism, which are divided into Angry and Pacific. There are infinite different manifestations of ÈŞÙ: example, ÈŞÙ Laroye, ÈŞÙ Alawana, ÈŞÙ Ódára, etc... ÈŞÙ in its nature paths is manifested in ÈŞÙ IMO, ÈŞÙ INA, ÈŞÙ ÌRÀWÒ, ÈŞÙ OKUN, ÈŞÙ ODO, etc... ÈŞÙ in ancient times was represented by a porous stone, which represented his many eyes, because as ÈŞÙ is truly the Consciousness of the Spirit of Nature, is manifested in different ways everywhere with different aspects and can see and hear everything that happens.
A sister writes: I ask and forgive my ignorance: the Babalawo prepares an Elegua that they call ÈŞÙ and lives inside the house, on the other hand the Santeros take a ÒTÁ (Okuta = stone) and put it outside their home as ÈSÙ, because ÈŞÙ should not enter your home, Why is this difference?
AWO IFÁLENU response: A super important point to clarify here, and to be well known. ÈŞÙ is ÈŞÙ, ELÉGBÁRA is ELÉGBÁRA, they are different manifestations of the same essence, ÈŞÙ is collective Conciousness, and ELÉGBÁRA is individualized Conciousness.
This is something that is super confusing. ÈŞÙ is the consciousness of the spirit of nature, is the administrator of the divine severity, of the Laws of Nature which are strict and severe, they are well defined, so the position of ÈSÙ is also strict and harsh, and that doesnt mean that ÈŞÙ is “bad” or DIABOLIC, ÈŞÙ is only super Severe in nature.
The so-called Elegua or Elegba, that his correct name is ELÉGBÁRA, was someone who lived, and became ÒRÌŞÀ, in one of the 401 ÒRÌŞÀ. ÈŞÙ existed before ELÉGBÁRA manifested himself as an ÒRÌŞÀ, ÈŞÙ already existed in the universe, he is in another category, based on the teaching of Baba Odùdúwà, ÈŞÙ is a IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN, that is to say ÈŞÙ is a Power or UNIVERSAL Consciousness. According to the teaching of Baba Odùdúwà, about the Universal Neutral Energy called by the name of OLÓDÙMARÈ, from this energy arises a consenting and thinking manifestation called ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN, and in that process of manifestation as a side effect arises from the perturbation of the Universal Energy the IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN known as ỌLỌ́KUN, which is at the same Divine Level as ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN, and when ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN decided to Create and he manifested the phenomena of the BIG BANG – a powerful condensation of energy that created outburst expansion of energy that manifested the creation of the universe, at the moment of the expansión created by this, out of this phenomena arises the IRÚNMỌ̀LE NLÁ known as ỌLỌ́RUN, these three Divine Powers known as the IRÚNMỌ̀LE NLÁ (means the Great IRÚNMỌ̀LE, they are like the Gods). This three are the ones that form the Divine Trinity of Spiritual Powers in the Esoteric Yorùbá Tradition. The Principle of the Trinity of Divine Powers has apeared in different ancient traditions around the planet. They represent a Neutral Power, a Severe or negative Power and a Positive or Merciful Power. All the three of them came from the Divine Energy knows as Olodumare. ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN was the Divine Artifex, the Divine Concious Wise Creator with a Neutral nature. The Universal ỌLỌ́KUN or ỌLỌ́KUN Ọ̀RUN manifested as a vere Severe God that controls the Black Energy and Black Matter in the Universe, and also controls the Black Holes. ỌLỌ́RUN (means the Owner of Heaven) manifested as a Merciful God that controls the Light and the Stars (Ìràwọ̀) in the Universe.
Out of Olodumare arises ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN, and also out of ỌLỌ́FIN arise the IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN, and under these are the IRÚNMỌ̀LE, under this are the ÒRÌŞÀ. From the IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN to the ÒRÌŞÀ, there are 200 on the right side of the mercy and 200 on the left side of the severity and other 201 neutral forces for a total of 601 IRÚNMỌ̀LE. These are called IGBA IRÚNMỌ̀LE OJÙKÒTÚN (200 IRÚNMỌ̀LE of the right – peaceful and wise – IRÚNMỌ̀LE Funfun) and IGBA IRÚNMỌ̀LE OJÙKÒSÌN (200 IRÚNMỌ̀LE of the severe left side or warrior side – IRÚNMỌ̀LE Pupa), and the 201 Neutral ones: Okanle ni Irinwo IRÚNMỌ̀LE. From this 201 Neutral IRÚNMỌ̀LE, 200 are special manifestations of ÈŞÙ (these are used in the Ifá tradition) and the other special IRÚNMỌ̀LE is the IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀ŞUN, out of this IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀ŞUN came the woman with this Spiritual Essense that we known as Ọ̀ŞUN who became the last ÒRÌŞÀ and she become the ÒRÌŞÀ number 401, the only Neutral ÒRÌŞÀ. Originally ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN – The Concious Creator / Artifex of Creation decided to select 400, and after the woman Ọ̀ŞUN helped to Save Humanity, the Creator decided to add Ọ̀ŞUN as the only Neutral ÒRÌŞÀ between the 200 Severe andthe 200 Merciful ÒRÌŞÀ. There are 200 ÒRÌŞÀ PUPA of the Left Side (Red ÒRÌŞÀ, or Severe ÒRÌŞÀ) and 200 ÒRÌŞÀ FUNFUN of the Right side (White ÒRÌŞÀ, or Merciful ÒRÌŞÀ) and ÒRÌŞÀ Ọ̀ŞUN.
ÈŞÙ is not a Demon, SATAN, LUCIFER or SAMAEL. ÈŞÙ is not an obscure or malignant being or Power, ÈŞÙ is Severe, as well as other universal powers that are very severe that rules the Laws of Nature. IKÚ (IRÚNMỌ̀LE of Death) is one of those very severe powers, IKÚ has no feelings. Now within the creation, based on the teaching of Baba Odùdúwà, there is a power that was created by ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN, even before Ọbàtálá, and this Being is esoterically known "OLOSÌ". The closest I have found in the tradition is what they call "Alaselòsì", who is the power or spirit that Implements on the left side. The Left Side in many traditions is refered to the side of Evil Power. Some traditions called the “Other Side” (hebrew Kabbalist called the “Sitra Achra”), the Side of Impurity, Evil.
OLOSÌ was created perfect, omnipotent and immortal, he perverted and became full of vanity in his selfishness and power, and degenerated, ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN tried to destroy OLOSÌ, but could not, because he had created him immortal, so ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN did a pact with OLOSÌ, and He confine OLOSÌ to the underworld within this planet, every 12.000 years they break the spiritual seals that keep OLOSÌ confined, and he is released for a period of time, and this reappearance is cyclic, every time that this happens there is a Sacred War between the followers of OLOSÌ and the adepts of Light-Wisdom. OLOSÌ comes to mean the owner of the left side, referring to the side of evil in a certain context. OLOSÌ represents the evil one within the creation, but he is also respected. Some say that this was taken from the Judeo-Christian traditions with the character of LUCIFER, LUZBEL (or more deeply with the esoteric Angel SAMAEL among the Hebrew cabalists), but it was the other way around, the esoteric Hebrew tradition receives this teachings, as well as other ancient knowledge from older ancient traditions, and in this case this from the ancient Yorùbá esoteric tradition of Baba Odùdúwà.
Ọ̀rúnmìlà works with ÈŞÙ, because that was the power that Ọ̀rúnmìlà was given from the Divine powers of ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN. Becuse of this reason in the Òpón IFÁ (Ifá DIvination tray) they carve a face, that face is the face that represents ÈŞÙ, who observes and hear everything, as representative and Divine Righteous, and as a conscience of the spirit of nature, ÈŞÙ is in countless different manifestations in all parts of the universe.
There is a particular ÈŞÙ that controls and manages each star (Sun) of the universe, so you can imagine the infinite manifestations of ÈŞÙ in the universe, nothing more with that, and now if we see within each stellar or Solar system, ÈŞÙ has other manifestations that are in the fire, the water, the mountain, etc., another proof of their infinite and countless paths as: ÈŞÙ ÒNÀ. ÈŞÙ ODO -ÈŞÙ of the river, ÈŞÙ Okun (ÈŞÙ of the Sea), and ÈŞÙ Ina - ÈŞÙ of Fire, etc. In addition to the paths known with other names such as ÈŞÙ Laroye, ÈŞÙ Odara, ÈŞÙ Lalu, etc. Remember that ELÉGBÁRA was the son of Ọbàtálá and Òòşà Nlá who died without a crown, and died before being crowned King, he represent humbleness.
ELÉGBÁRA is like a transmutation of the collective nature of ÈŞÙ that is humanized and manifested vin individual form as a human with essense of the IRÚNMỌ̀LE ÈŞÙ, when that human was initiated in the tradition founded by Oduduwa, when that human was liberated from the material world, he became the ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA. Since then, the people who were blood descendant of the ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA, they were initiated as Ọmọ (son of) ELÉGBÁRA in the ÒÒŞÀ tradition.
The initiates can put the Àshe (ÀŞẸ́) or power of ÈŞÙ or ELÉGBÁRA in an Òtá or stone. Before there was no cement or other modern materials to make the loaded Elegbas or ÈŞÙ’S.
The oldest and most natural is a ÒTÁ/OKUTA (stone). In ancient Africa what they used was a communal ÈŞÙ for the village, which was at the entrance of the village, and there people made the libations of water or liquor, offerings of food and the sacrifices of animal blood (Ẹbọ Ẹjẹ́). The stone in Africa that was usually used was called "Òtá Yàngí", a type of Stone that seems to have manye yes, representing the eyes of ÈŞÙ.
The ÒRÌŞÀ ELÉGBÁRA (which represents the consciousness) is the manifestation of the energy of the IRÚNMỌ̀LE ÈŞÙ, which is the principle or the energy that makes this ÒRÌŞÀ manifest in different parts of the universe with its peculiarities, and at the same time above the IRÚNMỌ̀LE ÈŞÙ is found the IRÚNMỌ̀LE Ọ̀RUN ÈŞÙ or also called "ÈŞÙ Ọ̀RUN". This is the teaching that Baba Odùdúwà has transmitted to us about it, in its esoteric or internal and occult aspect, which is what Baba Odùdúwà is sharing so that they understand and people come out of misunderstood ideas and not clear aspects of these sacred spiritual traditions of ÒÒŞÀ and IFÁ.
The icon of ÈŞÙ that is given by the Awo IFÁ (Awo, Babalawo, OLUWO) goes outside the house, sown on earth, if you can put it there, that's the best location, because it is a severe manifestation. ÈŞÙ has its secret signature or sigil, which is engraved or carved in its Òtá, or icon that is the same sacred signature that is put to the Òtá of ELÉGBÁRA carved in the stone. The icon of ÈŞÙ ÒNÀ IFÁ (which is given by the path of IFÁ), it is a materialization of the power know as ÈŞÙ, which is a Severe manifestation, who is the divine policeman, who gives severity and punishment or prize, to him who deserves it for his merits and demerits. ÈŞÙ ussually goes outside of the house, in Africa there is an ÈŞÙ at the entrance of the village or compound where ÈŞÙ is fed and given his Ẹbọ. That's why he gets out of the house and not inside.
The ÒTÁ (sacred stone) of ELÉGBÁRA goes inside the house, near the entrance door. The ELÉGBÁRA icon ussualy is represented with a Stone (Òtá) also cane be made in other ways and charged with other power ingredients in a wooden figure or Stone figure. You hear that ELÉGBÁRA is the aspect controlled by Ọbàtálá, this is something close to the truth, but it is what I already mentioned, that Elégbára was the son of King Ọbàtálá. This is why I came to say that ELÉGBÁRA was the aspect of ÈŞÙ controlled by Ọbàtálá, here we can see where this assertion could come from.
ÈŞÙ and the IFÁ ÈBORA (IFÁ Warriors):
Based on a Égún TATA G teaching, emissary of ODUDUWA: they must never kneel in front of ÈŞÙ, of Elégbára, of Ògún or of ÒŞÓÒSÌ, because they represent humility, and if you do not want to humiliate you, never kneel before them, only one kneels before the other ÒRÌŞÀ, Ọ̀rúnmìlà, Odùdúwà, etc. One to greet him squats without the knees touching the duel and touches with both fists the floor 3 times, and invokes: ÈŞÙ Mo pe o (3 times, which means: ÈŞÙ I invoke you). Recently the Égún/ Spirit Tata G, told us that the one we know as Jesus Christ (who has the esoteric title in the Yorùbá esoteric tradition as ỌLỌ́FIN ÀLÀ) when he was in the desert the character who manifested before “Jesus” and try to test him was not OLOSÌ (LUCIFER or SAMAEL) , but in reality it was ÈŞÙ who came to tempt him, for that is also his mission with human beings, to put people in evidence, temptations to see what they do, and according to that, comes the reward or punishment, comes merit or demerit.
ÈŞÙ and ELÉGBÁRA have the same magic signature or sigil, as they are connected, at one level it conects with the ÒRÌŞÀ and at the other level conects with the IRÚNMỌ̀LE that is at a higher level of Power.
