THE POWER AND ITS TEST:

Teaching of Baba Oduduwa through his Medium / Elegun.

Yoruba Olofist Tradition.

We must remember what Power does.

The Power came from Heaven to Earth, and it went to its Elder to seek advice,

The Elder told The Power that he had to make the sacrifice/Ebo,

since the Power wanted to have the greatest of the Virtues,

after the Ebo had been performed,

the Power was told that he would have the greatest Grace in the world,

the Power asked, What is that grace?

and the Elders answered,

To remove the Mask from every Living Being.

Oduduwa: What do you understand by that?

The mask of every living being, what do you mean it does not show its own face, its own personality? To be able to remove the mask from every living being. You want to know somebody? Give them power, and that will take the mask off, You'll see what he/she does now. That will reveal truly who he/she is. A person without power can be utterly humble, but a person, the same person with power, can become the Greatest of Tyrants, and it is not because The Power has Perverted him, The Power unmasked him. What The Power did was to unmask him.

Why is he given the power of money? And there we will see what he does with the power. Reflecting on what we talked about some time ago, the best politician is the one who does not want it, is that person who does NOT seek Power, who does not seek to satisfy his own interests.
