The meaning and origin of the ÒRÌŞÀ

The meaning and origin of the ÒRÌŞÀ ÒRÌŞÀ (Orisha) means “Open Consciousness to the Divine”. Teaching given by Baba Odùdúwà through his Ẹlẹ̀gún (Medium/ Channel). Note of Awo Ifalenu: This refers to human beings who were initiated by Baba Odùdúwà or one of his followers who performed the necessary actions to generate spiritual merits and in a period of Divine Grace, Ọlọ́fin Ọ̀run (the God Conscious Creator God of the Universe, The Artifex of Creation) decided to choose 401 Human Souls to convert them in spiritual administrators of the Divine Power in nature and of evolution of Humanity, the ÒRÌŞÀ come from a period about 25,000 years ago, that was the time that Baba Odùdúwà was alive and he selected 16 disciples to travel with him westbound until they reach the area of ỌYỌ (now in Nigeria). Before Baba Odùdúwà they were no ÒRÌŞÀ. Odùdúwà got enlightened and started to consecrate peoples head and initiate them, from the people that he initiated The Creator God - Ọlọ́fin Ọ̀run decreed that he will select 400 human souls to become ÒRÌŞÀ. The first human to become ÒRÌŞÀ was Ògún, the friend of Odùdúwà, and the last one, the number 401 was Ọ̀şun (Oshun). In these modern times baba Odùdúwà returns to reveal the lost Secrets of the Initiation of the ÒRÌŞÀ, to prepare a group of initiates who from among those who achieve the merits and spiritual evolution, will be chosen a new group of Human Souls that they will become ÒRÌŞÀ for this new cycle of 25,000 years, the Great Platonic Year as it is called 25,920 years, which is a complete return to the zodiac in the equinoctial precession. The ÒRÌŞÀ are more powerful than the spirits, the spirits that cover a process of evolution and go through 7 levels of evolution to climb, above that level are the ÒRÌŞÀ, who also go through a process of spiritual evolution to ascend to another higher level which is the level of the IRÚNMỌ̀LE.
