Sacred Verse about Creation and Yorùbá Cosmogony as given by Odùdúwà: The Spirit Tata G, Spiritual Emissary of Baba Odùdúwà, recited these verses of Ifá he received directly from Baba Odùdúwà about the Creation, they come from the Odù Ifá of Baba EJI OGBE: Given on Saturday 21 May, 2016, at the Festival of Yemoyale at Ẹgbẹ́ Ódùn ỌLỌ́FIN (The Spiritual family of the Secret of ỌLỌ́FIN). "The Elders (the 16 Elders – the 16 Odù Mèjí in Heaven) in the spiritual world, that it was a time that there was a lack of existence, within that broad, infinite and unknown world there was a Consciousness, the Thought of Someone. That awareness needed something to Exist. And so it was created the First part of which Emanates the Whole (the ALL), even where there is nothing. That Consciousness received by a Divine decree, inclusive by He himself ignoring that same decree, he received the Power to Generate it’s expansion. He started to manifest in those places where there could not be anything that could be manifested. The Elders say that ÈŞÙ is the Divine Deity marked forever to accompany the Diviner (Awo Ifá), and then the elders asked why. Why was this? That Consciousness, that thinking of someone Supremely energized or Pushed by someone who goes beyond the Absolute Understanding is intended by Divine Decree and Marked always to accompany the Diviner (Awo Ifá), to prevent the Diviner in turning against his Creator. That thought that was pushed by that Divine Force, the ARTIST - ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN (the Artisan/Artifex, Craftsman, The Creator) emerged who sculpted and created. And this Artist (ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN) that divinely had a Child, coming from it’s root, from his energy, who gave Light so he could see the Creation of what he had sculpted. Then the Elders asked how we are going to call him?, How? And then the Elders decided to call him ỌLỌ́RUN, who gave Light so His Father could admire what he had sculpted. Next to that Father was a Companion, which is hidden inside the dark mantle that exuded with his energy, and then the Elders asked how we are going to call that one which is hidden, and then they decided to call him ỌLỌ́KUN. The Father seeing and contemplating the Greatness and Magnificence of the Creation, at the moment from his gaze a distilled Divine Emanation of that one who was destined in a divine way to know everything, and then the Elders asked, How are we going to call him? And then the Elders decided to call him IFÁ. IFÁ then spread his wings and began to navigate this vast field, picking through those sculptures all the knowledge that the Creator had magnified. By collecting this Bird of majestic colors and of all shades that knowledge, IFÁ begot a son, and then the Elders asked, How are we going to call the Son? And then the Elders decided to call the son as ỌLỌ́FIN Ẹ̀LÀ (The Pure). The Bird look with love and disdain that one that came out from his womb, and determined at that time in a sacred manner that would be the fluid who would have to accompany the Diviner (Awo Ifá) in his way and manifest itself through the verb who recite the poems (Ese Ifá), and then the Elders asked, what shall we call the Poet?, and then Ọ̀RÚNMÌLÀ was his name (which means, "Heaven only knows who will be Saved"). That Poet walked, treaded and he materialized in one of the centers that the Superior Father (ỌLỌ́FIN Ọ̀RUN) had sculpted with Anger and Courage, and then was that he met the Friend with whom he shared not only his recitals, but also his blood. And then the elders asked, how we should call that friend? And then the Elders decided to call him ỌLỌ́FIN ODÙDÚWÀ (ỌLỌ́FIN AYÉ, ỌLỌ́FIN OTETE, ỌLỌ́FIN ÀDÌMÚLÀ). And then after giving a name and power to that friend, the Creator Father contemplated again and decided to put order through disorder, and then the elders asked, what is the name for these sculptures? What was the first thing the Poet with his Friend envision? The Magnificence of Creation of the Supreme Being in search of HIMSELF. And then the Elders again asked, what shall we call these sculptures? And then the Elders decided to call them as; ÌRÀWÒ and ÌRAWO (Stars and Planets). And then when the poet and his friend again contemplated the creation of the Supreme Father, they envision in the distance the magnificent sculptor who came accompanied by others. And then the sages asked, how we should call his companions? IRÚNMỌ̀LE will be the name. Joyfully; the Poet and the Friend received those powers that came from the Sculptor of Sculptors, the Creator of Creators. They were picked up and welcomed them, and then they became friends. The Friends asked, Where we should manifest the Power that the Supreme Father has given us? And then the elders asked, In Whom we will deposit so magnificent power? In those who possess a vast and sufficient Consciousness to be depositors of so great emanation of Power and Strength?, What shall we call these deposits?, asked the elders. These will be called ÒRÌŞÀ (Selected Consciousness open to the Divine). When they manifested in these holy deposits, the Poet and the Friend asked, Where do you come from and who created you? They answered; We come from that One who with fury and a fit of anger created that which our descendants can’t never achieve. This verse comes by the hand of the youngest (of the 16 Elders), Baba Éjì Ogbé. Note from Awo Ifalenu: Baba Òfún was the Eldest of the 16 Elders or 16 ODÙ MÈJÍ, but he lost his hierarchy and then Baba Éjì Ogbé who was the last one (or youngest one) of them became the First in hierarchy, that is why Baba Éjì Ogbé has to be always on time, and be the first to arrive to any situation.
