ODUDUWA AND ITS INFLUENCE ON OTHER TRADITIONS
Teaching given by Bàbá Odùdúwà through his medium/Ẹlẹ̀gún.
Yoruba Olofin tradition. ẸGBẸ́ ÓDÙN ỌLỌ́FIN.
The Spiritual Family of the Secret of Olofin.
Oduduwa: In some cultures, especially in the one that began to worship me after I left them (Egyptian culture), they describe me in a curious way (as ANUBIS), do you know why? Some even interpret my existence as the enemy of the God. Do you know who Anubis is? Despicable? No, Feared. Do you know why? Because my presence evoked Death (IKÚ-Spirit of Transformation-Death), my army was composed of the Dead (Egúngún, Kú-all spirits), and the army of the God was of the living. Nothing more absurd and far from reality, if you ask me, in the Egyptian culture I am Anubis, I am RA. Do you know who they are?
Do you know how many religions have been formed based on my story? Some have brought culture to mankind, others have become abominations, even denigrating my image.
Do you know who Yeshua is? He is a character that emerged from my history, he is the Christ that most of you venerate. The one who traveled with his disciples and was sacrificed to save mankind, does that story sound similar to anything? Do you know how much before it was written in the compendium of books (the bible) that story had already happened, and not in the place you mark and determine. The only characters that claim within that compendium of books (the new testament) to have known my state with that character, are the ones you call apostles, however, the writings of each one of them is different, none of them is the same.
Everyone has a different vision of the same character. Kings, philosophers and other characters with certain preponderance in the history, are based and speak of that character, but no one claims to have been in his presence. The only ones who affirm it, I repeat, are those who you call or they proclaim themselves Apostles. Can you mention to me any writing of any emperor or king, or any character outside the Catholic Christian context of having lived and having been in the presence of that Christ?
Do not believe me, my word is not the truth. No one outside the Catholic Christian context claims to have been in the presence of that being, not even Pontius Pilate, when he was the one who supposedly ordered his crucifixion. He ordered the crucifixion of a man, but not in any of his writings does he claim to have been in the presence of or to have ordered the crucifixion of a divine man.
Where am I going with this? Within the Egyptian culture, I am Anubis and I am RA, Horus, the Christ worshipped by those who are above the popular RA, those who worship the peoples, both characters conform the two Eyes that see ALL (Right Eye of Ra and Left Eye of Horus). My most appropriate and real icon is that of Anubis, which I kept until the end of the days of my reign in the Yoruba people.
No one learns from life, everyone learns with Death. What do you understand?
It would be better for me that y'all learn what you have to learn in life and not after your transformation (death). There is a prayer that goes like this;
"We sit together with them to taste the food and drinks, because we don't know if in the spiritual world (Ara Orun) we will be able to do it. What do you understand?
