OBÁ NANI: The FEMALE ÒRÌŞÀ of WAR and WIFE of ŞÀNGÓ:

IFÁLENU

OBÁ NANI: The FEMALE ÒRÌŞÀ of WAR and WIFE of ŞÀNGÓ: Teaching given orally by the Spirit Tata G, Emissary of Baba Odùdúwà.

OBÁ NANI- means: THE KING WOMAN, WOMAN OF THE KING (Because it was the wife of King ŞÀNGÓ) Why Oba Nani lives in the pantheon, Cementery? When OBA NANI suffered his disaffection with ŞÀNGÓ, She request from OLÓFIN ÒRUN to send her to a place where there were no living people, so OLÓFIN ÒRUN send her to reside in the pantheon or cemetery where there are only dead people. OBA NANI is very solemn in the way she dances. Òrìşà’s living in the Pantheon are: YEWA, DADA, and OBA NANI. Oba Nani cut off her ear because of love to ŞÀNGÓ an in order to save ŞÀNGÓ who was very sick: There are several stories (Ìtan): There's a story that Sango was very ill and Oba Nani went to consult Òrúnmìlà, and he told her that in order to save him she had to make a an “Ear”. Oba then cut the ear, makes him the soup to save him. After that. ŞÀNGÓ leaves with ỌYA, and left her alone. That's why OBA NANI and ỌYA they don’t get along with each other, although they governed in the same territories (related to the Dead) but they two do not get along. A son of ỌYA cannot initiate a son of Oba Nani nor can a son of Oba Nani initiate a son of ỌYA. There is another story that tell us that ŞÀNGÓ and OBA NANI went to travel and they got lost, and then ŞÀNGÓ begins to die from hunger, and in order to save ŞÀNGÓ from hunger, Oba Nani cut her ear to feed ŞÀNGÓ, so he eats it and not die. Sango then meets ỌYA and falls in love with her, then goes and leaves NANI OBA. These are stories that occur in different signs (Odù), trying to explain why it is that these facts are given. Has anyone noticed that tools have certain ÒRÌŞÀ? What tools have OŞANLÁ? Symbolically she has a sewing machine, glasses, a Moon, a Sun, one feather to write. All ÒRÌŞÀ carrying in their tools in one feather for writing, symbolically means that they are ÒRÌŞÀ who are Sages, Philosophers, so is the case of OBA NANI, OŞANLA and some roads or manifestations of Ọbàtálá is like that. Erroneously some people say that OBA NANI is the "Teacher", but the symbolism of the feather is because she is wise, she was Yoruba Philosopher so to speak. ¿In ancient times the Yoruba had a written language? Yes, but it was a symbolic language, using symbols, there are still vestiges of that, you can see in Yoruba statuettes. But modern Yoruba and do not understand them, since the English colonization, that affected them, so much so that their oral language came to be similar to English language in some ways. Oba Nani is the Female ÒRÌŞÀ Goddess of War. Oba Nani was the one who taught ŞÀNGÓ to use the sword. Oba Nani is the ÒRÌŞÀ that brings economic stability at home. Oba Nani does not only give marital stability, Oba Nani gives the Faith in Love, obviously the Faith in Love is born of that marital stability, Good relationships, etc ... So when OBA NANI “arrives” at a house therefore it gives Matrimonial stability, because she begins to create that Faith in the Love between the couple. Who is AJÉ ŞALUGA? Is the IRÚNMOLÈ that brings abundance/money, "OWO PIPO". Oba Nani and AJÉ ŞALUGA are important to receive by religious people because Oba Nani not only brings wonderful things as Love, but also on the material plane gives economic stability, she does not allow poverty in the religious house where she resides and by those who have received her (initiation). OBA NANI is the YORUNA ATHENA, Athena is a Greek goddess who is a Warrior and Philosopher. Ògún is like greek ARES God of War and the Greek Athena is the Goddess of War. Note from Awo Ifalenu: The Spirit Tata G told us that the Yoruba pantheon is much ancient than the Greek pantheon of deities, that in fact the Greek took from the ancient worship of the ÒRÌŞÀ, so many so called Greek deities were adapted from the Yoruba Deities, like Poseidon = Olókun, Ares = Ògún, Òşun = Aphrodite / Venus, etc. Tata G: Oba Nani was the one who taught Ogun to create the tools and to create weapons, like swords, spears, etc. Oba Nani is symbolic a daughter of Odùdúwà, but it is not real is just symbolically. The Afrocubans don’t recommend to receive this ÒRÌŞÀ to people who do not have ÒRÌŞÀ or ÒÒŞÀ crowned on their head or people without partners the receipt her initiation, but I (Tata G) disagree with that situation, because it is not that OBA NANI you will tie you to marriage, because Oba Nani gives Faith in Love, in Marriage, respect in Marriage. The Sons of OBA NANI for any reason cannot be unfaithful in marriage (it’s a Taboo for them), whether direct children or indirect children, and this is because it is a great lack of respect towards this ÒRÌŞÀ. In mild cases of infidelity can cause disease in the person, and in severe cases she can cause death... When an Initiate is cheating a person, he or she does not lack respect for the other person alone, (but the ÒRÌŞÀ) there enters the ÒRÌŞÀ discrepancy. There are ÒRÌŞÀ that are fair and there are other ÒRÌŞÀ that are partial, and they say, "Well, you behave wrong, and you did this or that". ÒŞUN for example, will tell a true story of young man. This young man was initiated into the ÒRÌŞÀ tradition, he had Leukemia and was cured, and he goes to the United States and remains there, and his wife (he had married a very young girl) and due to lack of consciousness he becomes involved with another girl, and she became pregnant in that adventure, and she went for an abortion, and she died there, and all the blood of the body came out, she was all empty of their blood. That kind of severe situations can happen, and do happen. There are also very partial ÒRÌŞÀ, they say; "I'm not putting in a position to see if you have done or not done this or that, or to see if you have good reasons not" These ÒRÌŞÀ act Severely- they Punish people, and OBA NANI is such an ÒRÌŞÀ and we must be very careful with her. Infidelities of her children are punished severely. And if the infidelity is from other person to the son of daughter of Oba Nani even worst for that person. So that is why OBA NANI went to the Pantheon/Cementery to live, because of an infidelity. The arrival of Oba Nani to the house is one of the things that consolidates much people in marriage. One of the things as religious people is respect, and if you have a love partner and you take that person to your house and then she leaves and you bring another different person, that's the worst thing you can do, and you have to remember that where are the ÒRÌŞÀ live is a Temple, and by been a Temple you have to have respect, the ÒRÌŞÀ see that you have your partner, okay, but that situation of bringing other people in the absence of your partner is already a lack of respect. OBA NANI speaks in sign or Odù of the Erindinlogun of Eyeunle or 8 cowrie shells mouth up. They will put 8 things to Oba Nani. OBA NANI is born in the Odù of Ogbè Yono (8-3): in the Odù of Ogbè-şe is born to receive Oba Nani initiation. A homosexual person can receive OBA NANI. Many things can happen, OBA can straighten the sex life of the person, until OBA can make that person without promiscuity. OBA can fix your life, because usually Homosexuals tend to be very promiscuous in their sexual relationships. To appease OBA NANI you have to sing to Ọbàtálá. Oba Nani is borne from ÒŞUN. OMO OBA NANI: Oba Nani’s children like school, learning, teaching, like the arts, they are artistic, they like to experiment, to see what happens if I do this or that, what if I combine this with this other thing what would happen, etc. They have a scientific trend. Offerings to OBA NANI: fresh raw fish covered in rose honey, a special honey (obtained from beekeepers who give roses to the bees and pollen from roses) 8 butter pears EBO EJÉ: You can give her: Hen and Rooster, as well as castrated Goat together with ÒŞUN. OBA NANI DANCE: When you are dancing to OBA NANI you will cover one of your ears with one hand while dancing to her.
