BÀBÁ ODÙDÚWÀ ON ÌŞẸ́FÁ AND ÌTẸ́FÁ AND ITS MYSTERIES

 This Teaching is given by Bàbá Odùdúwà through his medium/Ẹlẹ̀gún.

 Yoruba Olofist Tradition. ẸGBẸ́ ÓDÙN ỌLỌ́FIN The Spiritual Family of the Secret of Olofin.

 Note by Awo Ifakenu:

 ÌŞẸ́FÁ refers to what in the Afro-Cuban Tradition is called Awofakan/Owofakan or receiving Mano de Orunmila. Awofakan means First Mystery of Ifa, Owofakan = a hand of Ifa. ÌŞẸ́FÁ means Work of Ifá.

 BÀBÁ ODÙDÚWÀ: What is ÌŞẸ́FÁ?

 ÌŞẸ́FÁ is to work with the wisdom and knowledge of Ifá. ÌŞẸ́FÁ is to begin to understand the dimension of Ifá that comes with Ọ̀rúnmìlà. ÌŞẸ́FÁ is the application of acquired wisdom, knowledge, and awareness derived from the ÌŞẸ́FÁ. In ancient times the ceremonial of ÌŞẸ́FÁ had different connotations than it does today. In ancient times, the way it was worked was different from the way it is worked today. ÌŞẸ́FÁ is received to see if the person will be able to control the Wisdom that emanates from IFÁ. ÌŞẸ́FÁ serves to know if the person has a destiny within Ifá. ÌŞẸ́FÁ is not an object, ÌŞẸ́FÁ is not a foundation, ÌŞẸ́FÁ is not a ceremony.

 ÌŞẸ́FÁ is to develop the CONSCIOUSNESS to UNDERSTAND IFÁ.

 Ọ̀rúnmìlà is the one who divines Ifá, he is the one who divines Ifá for man, but first, he divined Ifá to the Deities. Ọ̀rúnmìlà is the one who determines who will be saved.

 Ifalenu: It is the meaning of Ọ̀rúnmìlà, Only Heaven/Ọ̀run knows who will be Saved.

 Danny: What does it mean to save us? What do you mean?

 Oduduwa: To SAVE YOU is to keep your Existence from being wasted and useless to the universe.

 Ifalenu: It is like not losing the opportunity that you came to this world to realize. Save the Project.

 Oduduwa: Do you believe that on this plane?

 ÌŞẸ́FÁ is the first approach you have with Wisdom.

 You believe in this plane because it is the one in which you live, you believe that everything is in this plane, because it is what you see, what you can see, and what you can feel. ÌŞẸ́FÁ connects you to that which cannot be seen.

 It connects you with that which cannot be seen, with that which is known but forgotten. They believe in what they have value in while they are alive. Usually, it is what you know how to worship when your existence on this plane ends. Very seldom do they worship the IMMORTAL. What good is it to someone what he knows, if that which he knows will die when he dies?

 ÌŞẸ́FÁ is the first approach you have to real Wisdom.

 What difference is there between those who believe in God and those who do not believe in God? There is no difference between the two, he who does not believe in God, does not believe in God because he cannot prove his Existence. And he who believes in God, believes in God because he cannot demonstrate his NON-Existence. There is no major difference between these two characters. In the situation of individual existence, the one who makes ÌŞẸ́FÁ is the third one who does not prove but neither refutes the existence of God, he simply converges with his existence. He will never and never care for those who believe, nor will he ever and never care for those who do not believe.

 When ÌŞẸ́FÁ is delivered, the first trance is realized, at least for those who have never communed with God/Olodumare and all that emanates from him, including IFÁ.

 Some people say that you cannot do IFÁ if you perform the quality that human beings have to enter in Trance (Spiritual), when to do IFÁ you have to be able to enter in to Trance.

 Ifalenu: CONTRADICTIONS.

 Oduduwa: It does not exist beyond an egocentric question.

 There is no greater ignorance than the fact of believing to know everything. It is definitely ignorance. Beyond an Egocentric question, the more ignorant is he who believes he knows more, above all the more ignorant is he who proclaims himself to know or who knows.

 Not knowing is the fundamental part of the human being. Not knowing is one of the principles of Existence.

 Ifalenu: It is necessary to remain in that stage, so as not to close oneself to learn and understand more about everything.

 Oduduwa: What conception should one have of ÌŞẸ́FÁ? The first step the openness to knowledge, but not knowledge.

 Danny: Would it be like the key to realizing ignorance?

Oduduwa: ÌŞẸ́FÁ is the first step to SAVE... When Olodumare created EVERYTHING, and that which he created, the first thing he revealed to existence was the TRUTH. As existence and creation expanded and increased, Truth became diffused, lost within creation.

 Existence began with TRUTH.

 Why are the ANTS are or have a certain degree of Sacredness (becoming sacred) within the Tradition?

 Ifalenu: Because they work together like bees for the common good.

 Oduduwa: Ifá says that if you want to be like Ọ̀rúnmìlà you have to be like the Ant.

 Ifalenu: What aspect of the ant is key?

 Oduduwa: The ant does not refute or judge your position, it simply fulfills its work and its destiny.

 What is TRUTH?

 What we can understand as TRUTH is IFÁ and ÒRÌŞÀ. What we can understand as TRUTH is Olodumare. What we can understand as TRUTH is ALL that emanates from Olodumare. EVERYTHING is TRUTH, including LIE. The lie did not give birth to the truth, the Truth gave birth to the lie.

 What is TRUTH? TRUTH is OLODUMARE / GOD. Find the Divine Particle and you will know the Truth, you will know how the Universe begins and you will know how the whole universe is composed, you will know how it begins and how it will end.

 Lack of acceptance of Truth does not make Truth cease to be Truth.

 Within IFÁ, which comprises ÌŞẸ́FÁ, you understand that.

 It gives you the clarity to be able to modify Reality, but not Truth.

 Ifalenu: Truth cannot be modified because it is Truth.

 Oduduwa: Reality is how you are perceived by each one.

 Why is ÌŞẸ́FÁ so important?

 Danny: You would not waste time and dedicate your existence.

 You would realize your ignorance and use the time of your existence in something for the common good.

 Ifalenu: You would better understand your position in the existence of the universe and the mechanism of life by consciously cooperating with the process just like the ants, who all know their position and status and the service to be performed.

 Because of this understanding, there is no ego struggle, and professional jealousy as they understand that each one has a role to fulfill.

 Oduduwa: Come back to kill an ant tomorrow.

 Ifá says in one of its verses that the first body that Ọ̀rúnmìlà had was that of an ant.

 Ifalenu: There are other traditions that use the Bee as a symbolic "animal", which is in some ways similar to the ant. In the Middle East there was the Sarmoung Brotherhood, or brotherhood of the Bees, who are mentioned by the followers of Gurdjieff's teachings and who came from Babylon more than 2500 years before Christ.

 Oduduwa: Live with Olodumare or live with his Absence. How is it that living with Olodumare they become friction? He who lives with Olodumare does not frictionate. What would be the question of Frictionalizing, if you live with Olodumare?

 What do you think is ÌTẸ́FÁ?

 ÌTẸ́FÁ is the initiation ceremony within the IFÁ priesthood.

 ÌTẸ́FÁ teaches you to Overcome your position in the universe.

 ÌŞẸ́FÁ gives humility.

 ÌTẸ́FÁ is the ultimate expression of Humility.

 ÌŞẸ́FÁ- you learn from Service, executing the Position that CORRECTS in the universe.

 ÌTẸ́FÁ - If you correctly complete the process of ÌŞẸ́FÁ it leads you to understand what Humility is necessary to be able to Break with the universe and choose your Destiny.

 Within that dynamic, where is the ÒRÌŞÀ or SODO ÒRÌŞÀ settling ceremony?

 What is SODO ÒRÌŞÀ?

 Danny: It gives the option to become ÒRÌŞÀ.

 Oduduwa: ÌŞẸ́FÁ and ÌTẸ́FÁ gives you the Consciousness of Truth.

 SODO ÒRÌŞÀ gives you the Consciousness of Divinity.

 If we were to look at it in a general aspect, everybody should do ÌŞẸ́FÁ, everybody should do ÌTẸ́FÁ, everybody should do SODO ÒRÌŞÀ. The three complement each other to achieve complete existence in the universe. The only "BUT" would be the Oath you took in ARA Ọ̀RUN/Spirit World before Incarnating.

 Danny: Why?

 Oduduwa: Why doesn't everyone do it?

 These steps have no order, they are simply Stages that you must go through.

 Do you know what used to happen when there was no Action or no relationship between an Action and an Acquisition?

 In the beginnings of humanity, you were not paid for doing something. The good that was obtained was the Common Good. It was lost with Existence, when it began to be considered that the king should live better than the subjects, or when the subjects considered that they had to live better than the king, and humanity is corrupted. Betrayal is born, Envy is born and all the Negative Spirits arise.

 Ifalenu: The spirit of jealousy, envy, greed, etc..,

 Oduduwa: Let's go back to the Ants (their style of work and collaboration).

 Does the queen ant live better than the workers?

 Danny; No

 Oduduwa: Do the worker ants live better than the queen ant?

 Danny: No

 Oduduwa: Some beings who consider that they think they know something, say that this is one of the most corrupt societies, precisely because they think they know something. The queen covers her workers because she dies without them.

How will IFÁ save humanity? IFÁ will make humanity Awaken. Many will be Sacrificed, and their sacrifice will not be in vain. And then again you will have the conception of the Crown, which is a position and not a status. Thus IFÁ will save humanity, and thus humanity will save IFÁ.

So, until then I will stop prophesying for mankind. Humanity will converge with its ancestors, humanity will venerate and respect its ancestors, and humanity will venerate and respect Orisha and Ifa. Then thousands of universes will be created, and they will be destined to repeat the same cycle with different Gods. Do you understand?

At the moment that humanity reaches that point, all the participants of the “Ẹgbẹ́” (of this Spiritual Family formed by Oduduwa, called by the Ẹgbẹ́ Ódùn Olòfin) will be able to become Gods within their universes. It is ÌTẸ́FÁ, it is a Position, but NOT a Status.

You know how many times I have explained it to you in so many ways. Until when will I stop prophesying for humanity. They clumsily cling to something that is destined to perish. For the simple fact of how it started and how it was achieved. In me it will be Transcendental. All those who begin to create a consciousness and a personality, who understand the reason for their conditions. It will make them understand that their condition will never give them a Status, but a Position. You who have been forming for some time now, I told you, it would be very easy to fill myself and surround myself with people who praise me, believing that the important presence is when you look at me through the body of your godfather, but not in my absence. , or in my supposed absence. That is not worth it, it is useless, it is not efficient or effective. You have shared and will share a table with many people. Those who really matter a lot are the few.

ARA Ọ̀RUN FUNFUN (White-Merciful Spiritual World): As I told you a moment ago, you grasp existence because you exist in it. AIKÚ – Immortality, those who live well, reincarnate and return in Spirit to continue guiding humanity.

ARA Ọ̀RUN PUPA (Severe-Red Spirit World): Remember when we talked about the people who generated Good and those who Created a Negative Destiny.

Under the conceptions they had previously had, they were considered to have a Hell and a Heaven.

Ifalenu: ARA Ọ̀RUN FUNFUN and ARA Ọ̀RUN PUPA, would it be like saying Heaven and Hell or the merciful spiritual world and the severe spiritual world?

Oduduwa: For us there is no Hell.

Hell in some cultures is considered as a place of eternal suffering and pain. Within our conceptions, within our traditions, we know that there is a Land of the Spirits where what was not learned in Life will be learned. Because in the end, everything is Transcendence. Some facilitate the path and others complicate it. Some return in spirit form to continue guiding humanity or reincarnate to continue fulfilling their role until they reach the "Source". There are others who have to return to ARA Ọ̀RUN (Spiritual World) and stay there to learn what they do NOT want to learn. Do you understand?

Those who reincarnate and who return as spirits to guide humanity are those who did NOT get so complicated along the way. Those who became too self-conscious have to deposit their spirit in that part of ARA Ọ̀RUN to learn by Force what they swore they would learn in life.

ARA Ọ̀RUN PUPA is nothing more than a reality that could be “material” in appearance, where the person who did NOT fulfill his Oath that he made in ARA Ọ̀RUN/Heaven, Frictionate in Life, and lived to harm others and returns to that supposed reality, to learn from the Suffering he caused.
